Brian the manager cut my lock off without any warning or behind on rent. I showed him my collection of sportscards like an idiot. Now he is getting fired because of new ownership at 80th St CubeSmart and only reason i can think of why he cut my 2nd personal lock off after he personally gave me a special bracket to put on the 2nd personal lock on last summer and has been on ever since. He has my number & easily could have called me to remove my bracket & 2nd personal lock but NO, Brian just cut off my $12 lock & threw it & the bracket I paid him for 8 months ago with 2 pairs of Heely shoes for his kids last summer in the garbage when i wasn't late on rent. Bad management, and should not have a master cylinder key to every locker inside the facility. Dan Staz

My experience was great. I made a reservation and then got a call instantly came in rented my unit. I was in and out. Bryan made the process really easy and explained everything thoroughly. Everything went smooth. Tera was friendly as well when he introduced me to her. The facility is clean and organized and I like the fact you can drive in through the back. I liked the online pricing. All in all great facility great employees and great experience.

I am currently going through some very very difficult times financially, and have been a customer at this location almost four years. Today was the last straw. They do not care about their customers period. I was struggling to pay my bill this month due to a death in the family. Knowing it was late I was prepared to pay both months including the past due. Well when I went to pay it they tacked on another 100$ ( not to mention the 5 times the actual rent price has changed since I started doing business w them) I called and told them what was going on and they absolutely do not care pay it or it’s getting auctioned no loyalty assistance nothing. After I take care of my bill I am immediately discontinuing doing any business with CubeSmart.

I reserved and paid for a storage unit and was told there would be a gift bag in my unit and in the bag would be the lock for the unit. It also states this in the paperwork that I signed for the unit. I rented a vehicle to move everything to the unit and showed up Saturday with my help to move in. Got up to the 2nd floor and there was no gift bag and therefore no lock. The locks for these units are very specific and need to be bought from them. So now I paid $300 for the rental vehicle and had help lined up and no lock for the unit. I am now out the $300 and am unable to move into the unit. I tried the live chat and kept getting kicked out as it would say the page needed to be refreshed constantly and it would delete my comments. This is poor poor service. I think they should at least reimburse me for the rental vehicle.

Unreasonable Fees for “convenience” to pay. No access to facility lavatory. “Revolving door” managers. Break-in (vandalism) at Kenosha location; unjust three-month rent increases - rent increases and there is no physical improvement to the rented unit or facility or SECURITY!!!! Why would I give free advertisement for a service that will not demonstrate justification for increased rent charges, other than “inflation” (translation: price gouging, greed); now I see why there was vandalism at the Kenosha, WI location! I don’t advocate vandalism, but there are “reasons” for that action/event!

I love the fact that it's climate controlled therefore the storage units are inside the building. I'm very very glad there are elevators that can help move heavy stuff from floor to floor, I do believe more moving carts should be available, people use more than one when it's very busy and that isnt fair others having to stand there and wait for one, but other than that I'm glad I could use one. Facility is very clean. The people working the front desk are very nice, great customer service, the guy that checked me in went above and beyond to help me navigate as its like a maze in there.

Rental was easy and fast. Because of the coded entrances I feel like my stuff is completely safe the only thing that I would say as a negative is that the bathrooms which are inside the locked building are also locked and only accessible when the office is open because you have to go to get a key. Otherwise this is an absolutely perfect place to store items long term or short term because the rental is month to month.

Although the price went up a little more than I would have liked the storage unit was clean, well lit, easy to access, and having carts at the entrance really helps get things to the unit. When I had to cancel both staff members I spoke with were incredibly kind and understanding. Both were helpful and reassured me everything would be taken care of in a timely manner. If I do need a unit again in the future I’ll definitely be going back to CubeSmart.

Staff was extremely helpful, polite and courteous. The online system setup needs improvement. Unfortunately I must change the review I last posted. CubeSmart decided to claim our Allstate Renter's insurance does not meet their requirements for coverage at their facility. They claim there is a law in Wisconsin that allegedly went into effect on 11/1/2021 where the specific statement, "Off site storage at a storage facility" must be included in the declarations pages. According to Allstate no insurance company includes any such statement in their policies. This indicates either every insurance company is wrong or CubeSmart is possibly making false statements to force customers to buy coverage through CubeSmart. CubeSmart also planned to raise our rental fee to $322/month from the original $288/month only a few months ago when we started. We have moved our belongings to a much more highly rated storage facility in Kenosha, new cost $185/month, almost the same size at 10 X 20 instead of 10 X 25.

I rented a 10x15 foot clinate controlled storage facility. The price was reasonable for no contract. A big shortcoming is not enough carts or means to get the product from my vehicle to my storage locker. Several times I have arrived and there is no carts. For 900 storage lockers there should be many more carts to move items. The outside of the facility could be kept cleaner. People must drop items when loading and they don't seem to get cleaned up. The lady in the office was very helpful and polite. With a few improvements I could rate it a 5 star facility.

Watch out the fees start out small and then they increase them outrageously. They upped my fees $70.00 in a year and corporate blamed the store, the store blamed corporate and neither wanted to do anything to change it. I went to the competition and am very grateful for it. We had a a very unpleasant experience with this facility. We spent several months negotiating a contract with them to advertise their business spending time and resources supporting them in return for storage at their location. Then things went silent. We assumed it was related to COVID as to why they were not responding to any of our attempts to contact them but we were finally able to speak to the Store Manager today who told us they "saw some emails about that" but the District Manager would no longer honor the agreement. They would not provide us the contact information for their District Manager who made the decision and never made any attempts to let us know this was the case. They did offer us a generic email if we wanted to try and reach the DM which doesn't help considering despite over a month of reach out we just finally got a hold of someone today. Very disappointing considering it was very difficult to get responses from them the entire process. I would not suggest this facility based on the lack on integrity I have experienced and the lack of communication or responsiveness which occurred well in advance of COVID. We have since pulled the advertising we have been doing for them this entire time and are communicating with our other partners the experience we have had with them. We would have been much more understanding had they made some effort to contact us and communicate this decision especially before we incurred the expenses of advertising them for several months while we awaited their response in good faith.

Had a storage unit here for a while . Over about a year and a half they overtime slowly raised the price by over double. Not only that but for some reason you can’t get into the busking after a certain time. I’ve gone there multiple times later at night (around 9-11 pm) and after you put your code in it won’t let you in. You can’t even look online to figure out the actual hours of when you can access your stuff because they only have the office hours posted online. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like having to pay more then originally promised.

We have always stored our things at Public Storage in Waukegan and since we live in Pleasant Prairie thought we would store our things here. When we originally signed up we were never told that the price we were given was a temporary or promotional pricing that would end in 5 months. We also were not told that they periodically increase their prices. If we would have known that we would have kept looking. After 5 months, we received something in the mail stating that our rate was increasing. When I called to ask why, they stated that our rate was promotional and that they periodically increase rates. Our rate increased by 13% which to me is a pretty substantial increase. At public storage our rate did not increase during the time we had a unit. I just want to give anyone a heads up that may be looking to get a unit here, your price will increase and according to them continue to increase. Here we are 10 months later and yet another 17 percent increase in price. That’s an over 30 percent increase in a little over a year... during a pandemic... WOW! I will be removing my things from there as soon as I get a chance..

Best storage facility I've ever seen. Climate controlled, clean, secure units and facility. The see drive in area is excellent and great when weather is bad. Elevators to help move stuff upstairs and carts to ease the transition from car to storage unit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Great place to store your goods at a nice price overall but I would have given this place 5 stars but 1 of the elevators was broken so I had to use the back one which didn't break my back from moving...lol.... check them out u will be glad u did....

The night before I had to move from one apartment to another was so frustrating to me, thank goodness that Cubesmart has in place the "Reserve your unit with no credit check." I had nowhere to put all this extra stuff and I didn't know the size of the new apartment until the day before so I was in panic mode when I found out that it wasn't going to fit everything. Cubesmart is user friendly and convenient. They have carts plenty of carts available so you do not have to wait around wasting valuable time. I was in the unique opportunity to get to know the staff, Alex, Katie and Tyler more than most I believe. I only kept this unit until I could find people to take the items off my hands. Slowly but surely I started emptying out the unit and this meant I got to spend tome with the staff off Cubesmart. The staff is completely professional and courteous and also human. It turns out we have things in common: Katie used to go to school with my son Joe, Alex and I are into Escape Room challenges and Playing board games- he is the new age board games and I am old school board games, Tyler and I get into movies and stuff. I have no reason to go back there, I am no going to rent a unit for dust bunnies just so I can visit with my friends but when I do get in the area I will drop by to say a quick hello and goodbye. Thank you so much Cubesmart.

I called these guys frantically needing a unit within a few hours. They set me up with a great size, conveniently located on the second floor close to the elevator and made it so the paperwork portion of the process took little to no time at all! I wish I would've used them a long time ago. 10/10 recommend! Tyler was awesome!

I ordered a storage space on Wednesday afternoon, secured it on Friday and moved into the space on Saturday. Tyler was professional and very helpful during the lease rental agreement and on Saturday for the move the staff was helpful and really it could not have been easier.
